Dr. Herdener was raised in Vancouver, Washington, and educated at Seattle University and the University Of Washington School Of Medicine. He trained in dermatology at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, then moved to Spokane in 1987 after serving ten years in the U.S. Navy. The Inland Empire has become his home, and he loves it here.
Caring for patients presenting with a broad range of skin problems, is Dr. Herdener's passion. He has a keen interest in treating psoriasis, occupational dermatitis, acne, and all types of eczema. Dr. Herdener offers extensive skills in cosmetic dermatology as well.
Dr. Herdener and his wife, Anita, have been married since 1970. Together, they have a zeal for golf, tennis, and gardening.
Dr. Reed is a native of Spokane and received her bachelor's degree from Boston College, graduated from medical school with honors at the University of Washington, and completed her dermatology residency training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
Dr. Reed treats a wide variety of general dermatology conditions including psoriasis, acne, and eczema. Dr. Reed spent an entire year at Duke University devoted to clinical research on hair disorders and also trained with two respected pediatric dermatologists. Her particular interests include caring for pediatric patients and for patients with all types of hair loss. Dr. Reed performs skin cancer surgeries, skin cancer screenings, and cosmetic procedures including Botox and lasers.
She returned to Spokane with her husband and three young sons. They enjoy all of the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest offers, including camping, hiking, skiing and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Marino graduated from California State University, Fullerton and received her medical degree at the University of California, San Diego. She completed her dermatology training at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, which included a one year National Institute of Health research fellowship in dermatology. She practiced more than six years in clinical dermatology in Lexington, Kentucky.
In 1992, she moved to Washington, DC and completed a four year research fellowship with the National Cancer Institute in the field of cancer prevention and control. She earned a Master's in Public Health degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine. Before moving to Spokane in 2003, Dr. Marino worked as an epidemiologist for the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries in occupational dermatology research.
Dr. Marino is board certified with the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She enjoys working with all age groups and is especially interested in contact dermatitis and occupational dermatology.
Dr. Marino loves to cook. While living in Washington, DC, she completed professional training in the culinary arts and pastry at the L'Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, Maryland, and co-wrote a cookbook entitled The Cancer Survival Cookbook. Her hobbies are making greeting cards and gardening. She became a certified Master Gardener while living in Seattle. Dr. Marino has been married to her husband, Phillip, since 1977.
Dr. Chesnut is board-certified in dermatology and fellowship-trained in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, and cosmetic surgery. He recently completed the exclusive and sought after Procedural Dermatology Fellowship at UCLA, training in the most demanding cosmetic and surgical environments of Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Los Angeles.
His fellowship at UCLA featured a rigorous, full integration of plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and dermatologic surgery. Through this one-of-a-kind integration, Dr. Chesnut is a well-rounded and cross-pollinated surgeon. He has an unparalleled foundation in skin cancer treatment, plastic reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, as well as laser and aesthetic dermatology.
Dr. Chesnut is an expert on both the art and science of facial aging, utilizing an approach that relies not just on surgery, but addresses all aspects of aging. He loves to utilize this knowledge and skill of cosmetic surgery to improve the results of his skin cancer patients during their plastic reconstructions.
Dr. Chesnut is a leader in the fields of dermatologic and cosmetic surgery. He is an award-winning speaker, and has been invited by his peers to present nationally on numerous cosmetic and reconstructive topics. He is a regular contributor to the surgical literature, has authored several book chapters, and has been recognized for his research in both dermatologic surgery and lasers.
A native of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Dr. Chesnut is returning home to the Inland Northwest. He graduated with Honors from the University of Washington School of Medicine as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his dermatology residency at UCLA where he was selected as the Chief Resident and subsequently was selected for the integrated Procedural Dermatology Fellowship, also at UCLA.
Outside of surgery, Dr. Chesnut enjoys active time with his wife, Aubree, toddler son, Torin, and newborn daughter, Tatum. He is an avid surfer, passionate skier, loves beach volleyball and playing on the river.
Trent was raised in Ohio and received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Science and Physician Assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He served in both the United States Marine Corps and Air Force and was commissioned as a medical officer in 1992. While in the military, he practiced medicine in Washington, DC, New Mexico, Ohio, Croatia and Idaho. After retiring from the Air Force in 2000, Trent practiced at the Boise VA Hospital prior to joining Dr. Herdener in 2002.
Trent is a member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Washington State Medical Association, Spokane County Medical Society, Washington State Dermatology Association and the Pacific Northwest Dermatology Society.
Trent is full of energy and enjoys seeing all types of general dermatologic conditions. He has a special interest in adult and adolescent acne, psoriasis, eczema, and all types of skin growths/ cancer.
Outside of the office, Trent and his family enjoy spending time outdoors and take full advantage of what Spokane and the surrounding areas have to offer.
Eric was born and raised in the Midwest and relocated to Spokane to attend college. Dual enrollment through Washington State University and Whitworth University lead to his undergraduate nursing degree (BSN 1996) and his graduate Nurse Practitioner degree (MSN 1999). Eric has extensive experience working as a provider in the Spokane-area medical offices and emergency rooms. He is known for superior service and exceedingly competent, compassionate care for his patients. Eric is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Washington State Dermatology Association. Eric and his wife, Kaery, have been married since 1994 and have seven children.
Aubree Chesnut received her cosmetics training from the most elite physicians in Southern California, including plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon of the TV show “The Doctors,” facial plastic surgeon Dr. Behroozan Torkian of the famous Lasky Clinic in Los Angeles, President of the American Academy of Dermatology and dermatologic surgeon Dr. Ron Moy in Beverly Hills, her husband Dr. Cameron Chesnut in cosmetic surgery while at UCLA, as well as numerous others.
This diversity of training is unmatched amongst the majority of injectors nationwide. Aubree has a broad paradigm and breadth of knowledge to approach each patient's unique goals and needs - instead of forcing that patient into a narrow, dogmatic approach created by training with just a few perspectives.
Aubree was awarded her masters’ degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California. At Western University, she graduated at the top of her class on the Dean's List. Upon graduating, she completed a residency training program in Los Angeles, focusing exclusively on advanced cosmetic injection techniques where she honed her aesthetic eye.
While working in Santa Monica, Aubree practiced exclusively in aesthetic medicine. She is a highly sought after trainer for injectable fillers and neuromodulators, where she trains cosmetic physicians on the state of the art in modern aesthetics.
Aubree has an intimate knowledge of dermatology, facial anatomy, and an in-depth understanding of the aging process from the earliest changes of facial aestheics to advanced and dynamic tissue-aging concepts. This combination of knowledge allows Aubree to pinpoint the most conservative, efficient, and natural approach to meet her patients' cosmetic goals. This intimate understanding of the components of facial-aging also allows her to recognize each patient's unique needs, treating only necessary, sometimes subtle signs of aging to restore a natural, youthful appearance without looking artificial or overworked.
Aubree caries a humble, friendly demeanor, under which lies leadership skills and an internal drive forged at the highest levels of athletic competition. Aubree received her baccalaureate degree in kinesiology at Arizona State University, where she was captain of the women's basketball team, leading her team to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, and earning All Pacific 10 Conference honors in the process. She furthered those leadership skills while coaching basketball at North Idaho College and Seattle Pacific University.
As a leader in the field of dermatology and aesthetics, Aubree has presented to dermatology physicians at the California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery Annual Meeting, she is board certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants, and she is an active member of the American College of Phlebology and International Union of Phlebology.
Aubree and her husband Cameron have returned home to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Together they enjoy surfing, snow skiing, waterskiing and spending time with their toddler son, Torin, and newborn daughter, Tatum.
Desiree was raised in North Idaho. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Washington, where she was captain of women’s swim team competing at the NCAA and in US National Championships. She attained her Master’s degree in Clinical Health and Physician Assistant Studies from the University Of Washington School Of Medicine, MEDEX Northwest program.
Desiree has a background clinical research as well as general family practice and community health. She now treats a wide variety of general dermatology conditions including acne, psoriasis, eczema, and skin growths/cancers. She has continued her specialized dermatology training through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants as well as regional and national conferences. She enjoys caring for a diverse patient population from young children to adults and appreciates the teamwork and ability to work directly with the dermatologists in the practice to reach of the goal of providing exceptional patient care.
She lives in North Idaho with her husband and two daughters. They enjoy being active and taking advantage of the many outdoor activities offered in the area including, boating, many watersports, snow skiing, and feel fortunate to live near extended family.
Bindy is a 25-year experienced esthetician and clinical skin care specialist whose interest in skin care was borne out of being teased about her own freckles as a child and acne as a teen. Since working with dermatologists and plastic surgeons and operating her own Skin and Natural Nail Care business, Bindy understands the importance of meeting the needs of every patient and loves making people look and feel better about themselves. Her passion, knowledge, and gentle approach keep her patients coming back for treatments and advice. She enjoys using advanced technologies, such as laser skin treatments and products to treat her patients’ medical skin concerns. She is always pursuing knowledge and training to better help her patients. Her goal is to continue working at the leading-edge of cosmetic medicine.
Deb has been an esthetician for more than fifteen years and has enjoyed practicing in both plastic surgery and dermatology medical offices during this time. She has a degree in nursing from Duke University and worked as an RN at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, CA before she and her late husband moved to Spokane.
Deb loves her one-on-one time with clients and is devoted to making their time with her relaxing and pleasurable. The cosmetic industry can often be overwhelming and confusing. Deb’s practical approach to treating all ages and skin conditions, from acne to mature, aging skin is reassuring and gentle. She enjoys educational opportunities and has experience in all areas of esthetics including lasers used in the practice.
Traveling, golfing, hiking, biking and skiing are enjoyable pastimes, but family and friends are her passion.
Amanda is a licensed Master Esthetician and is a graduate of Glen Dow Academy in Spokane, WA. Since becoming an esthetician in 2006, Amanda has worked in medical spas throughout Washington State and has more than nine years of experience as a Medical Esthetician and Cosmetic Laser Technician.
Amanda specializes in facials, waxing, microdermabrasion and chemical peels as well as cosmetic laser treatments. Providing and maintaining the highest professional level of skincare for her patients is her top priority. While creating a peaceful and relaxing environment, Amanda enjoys guiding patients to achieve peak health and helping them achieve a feeling of confidence in their own skin.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys camping, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
